Over 200 local authorities use Idox solutions to dynamically publish information around their key services areas to the general public and key stakeholders.
Primarily used in Planning, Building Control and Licensing, local authorities use Public Access to publish registers of information on-line for the general public and stakeholder to see what is happening to their environment.
People can register for automated notifications new applications close to where they live or work, and to receive automatic updates on current applications, for instance receiving an email alert that there is a new planning application within 50m of where they live.
Following the entire lifecycle of development people can view Planning Applications which are made to the council, seeing where the application is on a map and viewing the Documents and Plans which provide the detail of the development. They can then comment on the application with the comment being electronically processed by the council.
The complete cycle is handled electronically, making it easier for people to use and saving the authority time and money in processing and publishing information.
Idox Public Access has also been optimised for smart phone use, so that it is easier to view the details of an application, especially where authorities make use of QR codes on correspondence and public notices.
Embedded mapping provides the general public with a view of what is happening where, allowing them to see what is happening around where they live and work.
Secure logins are available for Statutory Consultees to provide local or a national views of applications
