South Gloucestershire chooses Open Objects for Information, Advice and Guidance Hub
- Published: 26 April 2018
South Gloucestershire Council is the latest local authority to implement a market-leading Information, Advice and Guidance Hub from Idox’s Open Objects.
Providing the local community with a central platform to access a wide range of services, the Hub includes resources from relevant organisations including the NHS, Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission, allowing it to function as a valuable, multi-dimensional asset for residents living in the area.
For adults and older people, the Hub includes an intuitive search tool that ensures information and services can be tailored to specific need swiftly. The platform also features a catalogue of health aids, equipment and local personal assistants, empowering residents that are allocated their own personal budgets to take control of their care.
Together with Open Objects, the Council will also launch a new Special Educational Needs (SEND) Local Offer website – aimed specifically at children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities – offering them access to a personal network of advice about relevant local services. The platform will be complemented by a Family Information Service Hub to support families looking for information related to childcare, activities, events and funding.
