Environmental Services
Download the East Riding of Yorkshire Council case study to discover how they have reduced costs, improved services and increased engagement with Idox.
Idox is the leading provider of Planning, Building Control and related services enabling over two thirds of UK local authorities to effectively manage and monitor the development of land and property.
Idox’s solutions enable the management of the complete land and property development lifecycle from defining the Local Development Framework, to receiving Planning and Building Control Applications through to monitoring, and enforcing where required, including construction and monitoring of the conditions applied to the development.
Idox also enables the electronic submission of applications and the subsequent processing, consultation and correspondence management to ensure all interested parties are informed of progress in the most timely and efficient manner.
Idox Public Access enables citizens and other stakeholders such as councillors to engage with the process, being automatically notified of new developments affecting their area of interest. Public Access allows the submission of comments on current applications and the viewing of decisions. Mobile working also allows staff to see the information they need where they need it.
All Idox’s land and property solutions are integrated with electronic mapping (GIS) so that development records can be viewed and assessed in conjunction with the surrounding land, properties and the constraints and history of decisions made in the area which likely to have a bearing on the development currently being considered.
All Idox solutions are able to be provided with embedded workflow, workload management and a “traffic light” style visual notification system ensures that key deadlines are met ensuring decisions are made on time.
The close integration with Document Management Systems also enables all associated documents and plans to be viewed online.
