Our approach
Diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) are fundamental to our culture at Idox. We strive to create workplaces that reflect the communities in which we live, work and serve, and ensure all our colleagues feel valued.
Our natural working framework nurtures a diverse workforce and supports an environment that encourages equality and inclusion for all. In April 2022, we held our Dare to Be Different Survey, which brought us valuable insights and deeper understanding of who our colleagues are and what matters to them.

In April 2022, we held our Dare to Be Different Survey, which brought us valuable insights and deeper understanding of who our colleagues are and what matters to them.
Based on these results, we introduced new avenues of learning through mandatory training modules. These modules foster learning on diversity and inclusion intelligence, allyship, unconscious biases, and understanding microaggressions in the workplace.
Our employee networks
Our employee networks represent the diverse talent we have at Idox. They are communities built from affinity groups and allies, who are passionate about championing community, inclusion and belonging for all our colleagues.
Alongside our Workplace Wellbeing Team, we have launched two new employee networks.
Our future commitments
Our Dare to Be Different results indicate our workforce has roots in 15 ethnic origins. When we compare our self-reported diversity against the UK population (2021 Census data) we are more diverse than wider communities.
Over the next year we will work closely with our colleagues to ensure their demographics are represented in our workplace ethnicity make-up, both through our continuation of surveys, and recruitment.
We are aware of the fundamental importance of an ethnically-diverse workforce and want to explore any issues that impede ethnic minorities at Idox.
We are committed to seeing these steps through to ensure a diverse and inclusive workplace for all our colleagues, in nurturing a culture where all our people feel valued.
Monitoring
Over the next year monitor our data in relation to workforce ethnicity levels, both through our continuation of Dare to Be Different surveys, and at recruitment level.
All data collected will be utilised to monitor our progress as an organisation.
Training
We will explore the introduction of mandatory race equality and anti-racism training for all colleagues, which will run alongside our other newly introduced DEI training modules. All colleagues at management level will also receive additional training tailored to their work responsibility.
We will liaise with and subscribe to external organisations that support ethnic minorities in the technology industry.
Accountability
We will commit to the Race at Work Charter, which solidifies our commitment to equality of opportunity in the workplace.
We will appoint an Ethnicity Ambassador within the organisation, who will support Idox in raising awareness on discrimination issues faced by ethnic minorities and advocating for the equality of these groups.
