Idox celebrates customer success at NAFIS Awards 2021
Suffolk County Council and Reading Borough Council are recognised for their invaluable Family Information Service and Local Offer directory websites
The NAFIS Awards (National Association of Family Information Services) celebrate the amazing and dedicated work of local authorities across England and their efforts to support families in accessing the services and information they need. Idox is proud to support its local authority customers with its innovative information hubs and websites, enabling efficient and easy access to quality, locally curated information.
At this year’s NAFIS Awards, for the second year running, Suffolk County Council won the award for Most Innovative FIS. Its InfoLink website is a dynamic hub that brings together multiple, trusted sources of local information where families can search for childcare and related services and information.
With an established community directory, Suffolk continually strives to add new features and functionality to keep it fresh, exploring new ways of engaging with its service users by linking into other platforms and making use of social media to build an even stronger connection with families in the county.
The Suffolk team work incredibly hard at maintaining quality and engaging data within the directory so that the information is always up to date, relevant, accessible and crucially – useful. With a long-standing relationship with Suffolk going back many years, Idox is delighted that Suffolk continues to be recognised for its determination and success in this area.
The award for Best Local Offer was presented to Reading Borough Council at the NAFIS Awards. Its dedicated online resource offers information about the services available to families, children and young people within the local area. Developed in consultation with parents, professionals and young people, the website is a vital resource to help people access information, services and advise related to special educational needs and disabilities.
In addition to providing an exceptional – and now award winning – service, the Reading team has also invested significant time and effort into regularly consulting with users and using that feedback to directly inform improvements of its Local Offer. This continual engagement and commitment to regularly evolving the website demonstrates how devoted the team is to continue to meet the growing needs of its communities.
