Connecting Ideas, Driving Innovation: Welcome to Our Ideas Portals
Ideas @ Idox
Three ideas portals are available for Idox customers to raise ideas for enhancements across the entire land, property and public protection product families.
You will be able to view the progress of your own ideas, search, vote and comment on ideas of others and follow their progress.
If you already have an account set up, please click one of the links below to access the portal of your choice (please note that each portal requires a separate account to access):
Please do not log bugs on these portals. They are intended for ideas to improve our products. If you think you have found a bug, please contact the Idox Service Desk via the Customer Portal.

Recording an idea
The following are some guidelines for recording ideas:
- Check for similar ideas
When you enter a headline for your idea, the system will automatically search for similar ideas already submitted by other users. If you see an idea that matches or closely relates to your suggestion, consider supporting it by voting or adding a comment.
- Use clear and specific language
A concise and descriptive headline will help the system identify existing ideas that might align with yours. Avoid vague terms like “New Feature” or “Improvement Needed.” Instead, use specific phrases like “Add Calendar Integration to Dashboard.”
- Add value to existing ideas
If you find a similar idea but have additional insights or a slightly different perspective, share your thoughts in the comments. This helps us better understand the broader need and refine potential solutions.
- Attach supporting files (optional)
You can optionally attach files to your idea submission, such as screenshots, diagrams, or other documents. These can provide additional context and help us better understand your suggestion.
- Categorise where possible
You are encouraged to select an appropriate category to make your idea easier for others to find. You should assign each idea to a category from the available pre-defined lists.
- Still think your idea is unique? Submit it!
If you believe your idea is distinct and valuable, go ahead and submit it. Be sure to include enough detail to help us understand the problem you’re solving and how your idea could make a difference.
- One idea at a time please
If you have lots of ideas, please enter them separately. It is easier for other users to comment and vote if each idea you submit is a single clear idea. If you submit two or more ideas in one post other users won’t know which element to comment on and we won’t know what idea users are voting for.
By following these guidelines, you’ll help us focus on the ideas that matter most to you and the wider community. Together, we can build better solutions and create an even stronger product!
How voting works
Your voice matters! Voting on ideas in our Ideas Portal helps us understand what features and improvements are most important to you and the wider community. Here’s how the voting process works:
- Unlimited votes
You can vote on as many ideas as you like. If you find multiple ideas that resonate with your needs, feel free to support them all – there’s no limit to how many ideas you can vote for!
- One vote per idea
To ensure fair representation, each user can cast only one vote per idea. This ensures that every vote counts equally and gives all ideas a fair chance to be prioritised.
- Why your votes matter
Your votes help us gauge the popularity and importance of ideas. While we can’t guarantee that every highly-voted idea will be implemented, we carefully review all feedback and use it to shape our product roadmap.
- Changing your votes
If your priorities change or you find a new idea you’d like to support, you can update your votes at any time. Simply remove your vote from one idea and apply it to another.
How are ideas handled?
We’ve adopted a clear and transparent status system to keep you informed about the progress of your ideas. Here’s what each status means and how ideas are handled at each stage:
Needs Review | Your idea has been submitted and is awaiting review by our team. While we carefully assess new ideas to ensure they align with our product vision and strategy, these ideas remain open for voting and comments. Your input and engagement can help prioritise them for consideration. |
Awaiting Feedback | Sometimes, we need more input from you and other users to better understand your needs. Ideas with this status require additional feedback or clarification before further consideration. |
Future Consideration | These ideas have potential but are not prioritised for immediate development. We’ll revisit them as part of future planning cycles. |
Already Exists | Your suggestion has already been implemented or is available as part of our product. Feel free to explore the features currently available!
We value every idea you share, and while not all can be implemented, each one plays a vital role in shaping the future of our product. |
Will Not Implement | After review, some ideas may not align with our current goals or feasibility constraints. While we appreciate every suggestion, ideas marked as “Will Not Implement” will not be pursued. |
Planned | Ideas with this status have been approved for development and will be released in the future. This status covers several stages:
This flexible status reflects our commitment to implementing your suggestions, even if specific timelines may vary. |
Released | Congratulations! Ideas with this status have been successfully implemented and are now part of our product. Thank you for helping us make it happen. |
